Coronavirus: four dead, three blind after ingesting hand sanitiser in US
According to a new CDC report, 15 people were hospitalised for methanol poisoning from May 1 to June 30 in Arizona and New Mexico
Four patients died and six developed seizures during their time in hospital
Four out of 15 adults admitted to hospital in the United States in recent months for ingesting an alcohol-based hand sanitiser died and three were left visually impaired, according to a new report from the nation’s health protection agency.
The paper, published by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this week, focused on cases of serious adverse health events or death “associated with swallowing alcohol-based hand sanitisers” containing methanol in two southwestern states between May and June.
“Alcohol-based hand sanitiser products should never be ingested,” the CDC states.

Mayor Bill DeBlasio Launches Updated New York City Quarantine Rules and Checkpoints with Fines Up to $10,000 — Tucker Carlson Reponds (VIDEO)
Mayor Bill DeBlasio announced his latest plans to destroy the once great New York City on Wednesday.
DeBlasio announced a new travel crackdown, checkpoints for travelers to New York City and up to $10,000 fines to those who break his new quarantine rules.
The New York Post reported:
Out-of-state travelers could face up to $10,000 in fines if they break New York City’s two-week quarantine rule and checkpoints will be set up at entry points into the city, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday.
Currently, travelers from 35 high-risk infection states and Puerto Rico must quarantine for 14 days. Those flying into New York airports are also required to fill out a special travel form — or face a $2,000 fine.
The new crackdown includes random checkpoints at major bridge and tunnel crossings and up to $10,000 fines for those caught breaking quarantine.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on March 2, 2020, about 30 members of Black Lives Matter showed up at the door of Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey’s home demanding that she take a meeting with them. Needless to say, her husband was not amused.
Rather, he was alarmed and clearly upset and threatened the group with a gun before turning back into his home and slamming the door with the statement that he was calling the police.

Portland Riots Continue After Withdrawal of Federal Officers; Target Local Police
Riots have continued in Portland, Oregon, for several nights despite the withdrawal of federal law enforcement officials, as left-wing activists from Black Lives Matter and Antifa have attacked local police and battled them in the city streets.
On Wednesday night into Thursday morning, for example, the Portland Police Department declared a riot as left-wing extremists attacked the department’s East Precinct, disabling security cameras and attempting to set the building on fire.

FBI Escalates Investigation Into Ukrainian Oligarch Tied to Florida Democrat
The FBI on Tuesday raided two business entities owned by a Ukrainian oligarch who is closely tied to the husband of freshman Democratic congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.
The federal investigation into financial crimes by Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoisky, whose businesses have paid Mucarsel-Powell's husband hundreds of thousands of dollars for legal work in recent years, has been ongoing for at least a year. Kolomoisky in recent years has faced multiple criminal allegations, including embezzlement, bribery, and murder.
Mucarsel-Powell has faced questions on the income earned from her husband's work for Kolomoisky since her first run for Congress in 2018, when she defeated longtime Republican congressman Carlos Curbelo. Mucarsel-Powell has managed to sidestep the issue, but the ramped up probe into Kolomoisky's U.S. businesses could spell trouble as she fights to hold on to the hotly contested south Florida seat in November.

Trump 2020: Make America Normal Again
For four years, the left has up-ended everything that was once considered normal. An overwhelming Trump (and Republican) victory can bring normal back.
Over the past few days, when reading articles, conversing with friends, listening to podcasts, or just contemplating life, one word rings in my brain like a tocsin: “Normal.”
It’s not a very inspiring or impressive word. Like “nice,” it’s often one of those words you use when you want to damn something with faint praise. If you’re a kid in high school, you don’t want your prom date to be reduced to the words “nice” and “normal.” You want that date to be dazzling, gorgeous, popular, fun, cool, or whatever other superlatives we heap upon those things or people we desire.
But there’s a lot to be said for things that are nice and even more to be said for things that are “normal.”
One hundred years ago, there was another presidential election. It pitted Warren G. Harding, the Republican, against James M. Cox, the Democrat. Harding won with 60.3% of the electoral college votes. Cox got the South (except for Tennessee), but Harding won every other state. It was a decisive victory.
Harding’s winning slogan was “A return to normalcy.” That was what Americans desperately craved.

Justin Trudeau continues to plummet in polls after WE scandal
The Summer of 2020 will not be one that Justin Trudeau will fondly look back on. After surging in the polls during the pandemic, his government has suffered significantly as a result of the WE scandal.
49 percent of Canadians now say that the scandal has worsened their opinion of the prime minister, as reported in a new Leger poll. Only 29 percent of Canadians say that their opinion remains unchanged, and a measly 4 percent say (from under their rock) that it has improved.
In what is perhaps a more positive statistic, only 13 percent of Canadians say that they "don't know enough about the issue," meaning that the public have been paying attention to the debacle.

Trudeau government inks deal with two companies to supply COVID-19 vaccine.
This morning, Pfizer Canada and BioNTech SE announced that they have come to an agreement with the Government of Canada to supply the COVID-19 vaccine "BNT162 mRNA" subject to Health Canada approval and clinical success.
The deal sets in motion a major distribution system that will see the final products of the current BNT162 vaccine candidates make their way into Canadian hospitals. The current candidates for the vaccine are still in clinical studies and have yet to be approved by any country.
Pfizer and BioNTech SE have undertaken a massive global campaign and have committed to manufacture 100 million doses of vaccine by the end of this year, and more than one billion by the end of next year. They dubbed their current conquest of the virus "Project Lightspeed," and are currently in Phase 2b/3 of their safety and efficacy trials.
