FBI Louisville took over the case of the missing mother, who was 35 when she disappeared July 3, 2015, and will work alongside other federal agencies, agency spokesman Tim Beam told the Courier Journal Thursday.

Previously, the Kentucky State Police and Nelson County Sheriff’s Office collaborated on the investigation.

“We hope increasing public awareness will spur some additional tips and the public’s assistance,” said Beam. “We don’t know where she is, but no stone will go unturned.”

Also Thursday, over 150 federal agents went to Bardstown, about 41 miles southeast of Louisville, to serve new search warrants linked to the disappearance.

As part of the investigation, federal officials say they’re serving nine federal warrants and conducting at least 50 interviews at a trio of locations Rogers’ boyfriend Brooks Houck and his relatives own.

Houck — the father of Rogers’ youngest child, a son — was officially named a suspect in 2017.

Two of the properties are residences belonging to Houck and his brother Nick, who in 2015 was fired from the Bardstown Police Department for allegedly interfering with the investigation.

The third property is the Houck’s family farm, where the brothers’ parents live, according to public records.

Over years, the properties have all been searched “to various degrees,” Beam said.

These searches are a “major step” toward justice for Rogers, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky Russell Coleman said Thursday in a statement.

The missing mom was last seen at the couple’s home and her car was found abandoned just two days after she disappeared.

The vehicle, found along Bluegrass Parkway, had a flat tire and Rogers’ keys, phone, and purse were inside.

In addition to offering a $25,000 reward for information about where Rogers is, the FBI set up a website to offer information and updates about the case, crystalrogerstaskforce.com.

The website also offers a form for tips and information about Rogers.

Rogers’ case was featured on an episode of Investigation Discovery’s “Still a Mystery” that aired in June.
