Why do we need to continue to have acetaminophen (Tylenol brand) production? According to a piece in yesterday's WSJ acetaminophen is derived from the phenol produced in oil refining, so production is often near refineries. Of course, most production is in China.

However, acetaminophen is so toxic that it might not be approved if submitted today. I believe it is the top cause of liver failure resulting in the need for transplantation. High enough doses have been used to commit suicide. If I remember correctly, it consumes glutathione and when given to babies getting their toxin injections (vaccines) increases the likelihood of vaccine injury. If a woman takes acetaminophen during pregnancy and the child is a girl it reduces her number of developing egg cells, possibly increasing infertility.

Acetaminophen, imo, is an unnecessary and dangerous chemical sold to us as another way to get rid of what is, essentially, industrial waste.

I have significantly reduced my need for pain relief by altering my diet and using curcumin/turmeric in conjunction with black pepper.

As for "fever reduction". Fever is a biological response with a purpose. Short circuiting that process with acetaminophen is not helpful, imo.

If acetaminophen goes away, no problem, imo. In fact the benefits to humanity might be pretty large.
