Where did the money go?
They aren't deities of just the Jews, which are Judah. They're the deities of all 12 of the tribes of Israel, most of which relocated to Europe.
What the Catholic Church (the primary "Christian" church of the day) teaches, what the Bible teaches, and what Jesus Christ taught may not necessarily be the same. For instance, I note that Jesus called them "vipers" who were in authority. Not exactly blind love.
