ya know, they improved the constitution with the 20th amendment because they really fucked up with the date of election verses the starting date of office (long lame duck period) in the original constitution. The 20th amendment fixed that.
My point here is, if I suggest a change to the constitution, I am not attacking it. I would hope to improve it, as it historically has been. I also know how high the hurdle is to achieving a change.

I am not sure what the fix is. Financially, picking this news outlet over that outlet isn't working. They are too big.
I don't want to see a ministry of truth.
But I have been thinking about credentials being revoked, by some citizen, non-professional board (jury), with agreed upon parameters of some kind.
If you stay within the parameters, you can be in the White House press pool. If you lose your credentials, you are regulated to the National Enquirer realm of 'journalism'.
