I have nearly completely refused to shop in my city which enacted a "mask ordinance". I only recall spending $5 in a thrift shop since the ban on showing your face. However, I intentionally USE city services in order to get my money's worth from the taxes, etc. I've already paid into this shit-hole city.

On a bright note, I am saving a TON of money.

I estimate that the loss to my liberal, brain-dead city would be $4000-$7000 just on basic food shopping over the course of a year. That does not include frequent trips to my favorite "hangouts" for something to drink or other less frequent shopping. The "for lease" signs on commercial real estate are blossoming everywhere.

It is well past time for the stupid games with people's lives and health to end. I feel a bit sorry, I guess for the businesses in this town, but they need to band together and challenge city hall on this one. I've done my share of letter writing and social media posting.

One of my faves is to post about places OUTSIDE my city where I have shopped or had fun. I hope it pisses them off enough to get off their high horses and stop pretending bubonic plague is going around. Zero people in my circle have been seriously ill with coronavirus. The "occasional positive" (whatever that really means) didn't even go to the hospital. If HCQ was over the counter we wouldn't even have "positives" to bandy about as the infections would have died out by now.
