OH!

now that I'm thinking of it:

Got a phone call on my cell phone from someone claiming to call from the Democrat Party, assuring me that they received my request for a mail-in ballot.

My first reaction: how did you get my phone number

My second question: where did you get my name from?

Answer: we are working off the local voter rolls (are they really allowed to do that?)

no explanation on how she got my phone number. So I said, are you aware that mail-in voting is NOT a thing where I live, although I am sure that Absentee Ballots are allowed?

(I still will not advise anyone which party I vote, so didn't even bring that up)

I said I was "absolutely NOT interested, that I will go IN PERSON and vote" and that she needs to take my name off of this list, I did not make any request with regards to the upcoming election.

In the meantime: what if I had said. "yes, send me one". Are they sending these things out to anyone and everyone they can, to collect and hold these fake ballots until the big day?

Or just testing the waters to see how many folks fall for the ploy?

just a head's up
