There are no federal "marijuana laws". There are bullshit FDA regulations that have is "Classified" Schedule I.

 

Schedule I is the only category of controlled substances not allowed to be prescribed by a physician. Under 21 U.S.C. ยง 812, drugs must meet three criteria in order to be placed in Schedule I:

 

The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.

The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.

There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

 

We all know by plain reading that cannabis does not meet those three requirements. A simple regulation change nullifies any enforcement statutes.
