Because it's logical in a world of such hideous pain and unspeakable suffering, not to mention lie after lie after lie, a world where truth barely survives even now, that God knew we would need something clean and natural to help blunt the pain enough to think. So God gave us the weed, and no one, not one arrogant living person has the right to come between the Creator and his created.
