Their theology (understanding of God) is based on 1) an understanding that the events of Revelation are in the future and 2) a belief in the absolute depravity of the human person.
This isn't the forum for discussing such things in detail, but suffice to say, IMO until your friend rethinks their Biblical readings, they aren't going to change their mind on Trump.
