It's a bit more complicated than that. And Xi's trip to Ma-a-Lago was a diplomatic coup not understood at the time, but the Hong Kong "Security" law has little to do with Hong Kong, per se, but everything to do with betraying China, no matter where the Chinese citizen is on the planet. As usual, the MFM glossed over the language, but it's unmistakable what it was targeting, CCP corruption, any where on the globe.
