Humans since childhood have been conditioned to depend on the approval or guidance of the "elders" or "people who know more than them" as authorities. First the parents, then the teachers in schools, and finally the governments and religions. This is by design because what the controllers want is to have the population completely dependent on them at all levels and on what they want to give them as reality.
