Attorney General William Barr on Sunday sounded off on his portrayal in the media and the media’s framing of the ongoing violent protests in Portland, OR.

Barr said on Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” that he has been “appalled” by the blatant violence seen in Portland but lamented that the “partisan” mainstream media are feeding Americans a “lie” when it comes to what they show on their cable stations.

McCarthy blames Pelosi's 'personal wish list' for coronavirus stimulus bill failure

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Sunday heaped the blame on Congress’ failure to pass another coronavirus stimulus bill on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's “personal wish list” and defended President Trump’s use of executive orders to defer payroll taxes and replace an expired unemployment benefit with a lower amount.

“Remember, every time we've done legislation when it comes to COVID, Nancy Pelosi has always held it up for her own personal wish list,” McCarthy said during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures.” Remember when we did the Cares Act, she held it up for more than a week when thousands of people were being unemployed because she wanted more money for the arts and the Kennedy Center… now when we are sitting here coming forward with people unemployed again, she held it up.”

Brent Scowcroft, national security adviser to 2 presidents, dies

WASHINGTON — A lifetime before he served two presidents as national security adviser, Brent Scowcroft was just 12 when he decided to become a West Point cadet after reading about cadet life. After he graduated with the Class of 1947, he decided to join the Army Air Corps and train to be a fighter pilot. He achieved that goal, too, but then fate shot down his plans.

Just months after earning his wings, Scowcroft was flying over New Hampshire when his F-51 crashed in a frozen swamp. A broken back and other injuries kept him in the hospital for two years. He flew again, but so much time had passed that he decided to turn from tactics and operations to strategy and planning.

SEATTLE (AP) — Demonstrators have started gathering in Seattle ahead of upcoming votes by city officials on reduced funding for police.

Hundreds of people including pro-police supporters and counter-protesters assembled opposite city hall Sunday afternoon.

China bubonic plague spreads: Beijing orders second lockdown after new horror death

Sadly, a man died in the region's city of Bayannur from multiple organ failure after contracting the deadly disease that caused the Black Death. Authorities tracked the man's movements back to his village and sealed it off. This is the second village to be placed in quarantine within the past few weeks.

Authorities in Bayannur said: "The place of residence of the deceased is locked down, and a comprehensive epidemiological investigation is being carried out."

The statement added: "Currently, there is a risk of the human plague spreading in our city."

Last Thursday another person died from the bubonic plague.

This was in the adjacent city of Baotou.
