Several trapped, critically injured after houses explode in NW Baltimore, fire union reports
BALTIMORE —
Multiple people are reported to be trapped and critically injured after houses exploded Monday morning in northwest Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Firefighters Union IAFF Local 734.
The explosion was reported in the area of the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road.
The Baltimore fire union tweeted that several houses exploded and at least five people are trapped, including some children. They said three people have been rescued and are in critical condition. Special Rescue Operations units have arrived and are beginning to search and rescue the other patients, they said.
Six medic units have been called. Fire units from Baltimore County have been called to help.
