I hope POTUS will consider some type of relief for landlords with tenants who don't pay, yet are protected from eviction. I don't have a mortgage, but I have high real estate taxes and insurance to pay. These property cash flows were to be my retirement income stream(no pension).

I'm not a heartless landlord; one tenant was behind 3 months before Covid 19. Now behind 8 months and it is illegal to evict her in my state.

I can understand an eviction moratorium, but they should at least be making a good faith effort, at least paying half the rent.

Borrowing money doesn't make sense considering the purpose of the property was to have an income stream. As it was I had to take my savings to pay the taxes.

I know I am better off than many, but I sacrificed to get to this point(mortgage paid off) and now I am in a tough situation.

Just something for POTUS to consider.
