The advantage is that you pay taxes on the income as shareholder dividends (~20%) instead of normal income taxes (~35%).
Pretty standard, really.
Though yes its also true that you don't have to pay all those payroll taxes.
But the big difference is the 15% differential on dividend income vs personal income.
