I seriously have felt this way since I was in my 20s, which was in the 90s. Never even planned a retirement for myself, which kind of dumb now that i'm over 50. Anyway take it from an older anon, we've been on the downward spiral for a hell of a long time. How much farther is the question.
CERES
While we have been focused on Beirut, NASA announced some findings from recent image processing and analysis of Ceres, which is the planetoid in the asteroid belt. A probe named DAWN reached Ceres in 2015, and spent 3 years gathering data. Findings released this week reveal the likelihood of a liquid salt water ocean beneath the surface, due to suspected radioactivity still going on within the core.
Seems highly fricking cool, and is one more 'reveal' coming at us in a flurry of Space Force, AYYs, and crashed UFOs in a drip drip drip.
