Leb had been suffering under crushing economic sanctions from the US, due to some of its politicians allying themselves with Hezbollah.

 

Then there is the issue of grain storage, which was destroyed by the blast. I heard it elsewhere that Syria's grain was also bombed the same day, which is where Lebanon would normally turn.

 

Its no wonder the people have turned on the government. Night shift anons put up some photos of nooses supposedly hanging empty in Beirut, but don't know if sauced.
