>Were the Tate murders pushback from the cult against Polanski for exposing them? Or a sacrifice and Roman was just going along?
Polanski's handlers turned on him for some reason, and my suspicion is that he was trying to form a rival sect of Occultists. Polanksi is a true believer in Satanism and the occult, in contrast to the other Laurel Canyon power brokers who were simply using it as a vehicle for sex parties and blackmail. He was a potential threat to their schemes, so that's why CIAniggers called the Manson family to hit Tate, as Polanski was supposed to have been killed that night too. However, I think they learned their lesson that using drugged up hippies for a high profile wetwork only leads to a botched job. Or the job was botched by a professional and the Mansons were simply patsies called into the house after the fact.
I think this quote from his movie The Ninth Gate offers insight into Polanski's real views. Brief context is Johnny Depp's character is looking for a book allegedly written by the devil and he is interviewing a Baroness who used to be a leader of a Luciferian cult.
