Sounds like a good case for: if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit
I wore a seat belt before it was law. I dangled out of a poorly closed car door doing 40 mph as a 2 yr old. Luckily my shoes were tied more tightly than the car door had been shut and my mom's quick reflexes saved me. Therefore, I and all my children have always worn seatbelts based on what I learned as a child.
Other things I do not becaise I agree with them always, but based on whether noncompliance equals a punishment or consequence which crosses the threshold of what I am willing to bear.
Masks fall into a category of being idiotic and ineffective, whilst at the same time potentially harmful to my person - and I face zero punishment/consequence for noncompliance other than avoiding places where they are required - which I am more than happy to do.
