President Trump quipped during a Tuesday interview with Hugh Hewitt that if Joe Biden wins the 2020 election, "China will own the United States."

"You’re going to have to learn to speak Chinese if you want to know the truth," Trump said. "And you’ll have to learn it fast. They will own the United States."

HH: Ambassador O’Brien said China wants Vice President Biden to win. Why do you think that is?

DJT: Because they’ll own the United States if he wins, and with me, they were having the worst year in 67 years because I tariffed the hell out of them. We took in billions and billions of dollars. I gave some of it to the farmers because they were targeted, and I put the rest in the Treasury of the United States. We’ve taken in tens of billions of dollars from China, and it was having a huge impact on China, negative impact on China.

DJT: And China will own, just like when his son walked out with $1.5 billion dollars from China to manage, where he’ll make millions of dollars a year. Look, China will own the United States if this election is lost by Donald Trump. If I don’t win the election, China will own the United States. Acting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Chad Wolf wrote Monday that in the ten days since federal law enforcement officials were moved from their positions in Portland, police declared riots 12 times.

“It’s been 10 days since the agreement between DHS and Oregon. During that time, @PortlandPolice has declared riots or unlawful assemblies 12 times,” he wrote. “Rioting and arson are not actions of peaceful protesting.”

Portland has seen consecutive nights of protests, riots, and general unrest since the death of George Floyd in police custody in May.

What’s happening in the nonprofit sector right now is a tragedy. When this moment in America has passed, and we’re left to deal with burned cities, vandalized buildings, and schools lost in a sea of intellectual nonsense, we could really use a foundation or two devoted to supporting the arts and humanities.

WASHINGTON — A man who was shot by a Secret Service officer near the White House on Monday evening shouted, “I’m going to kill you. I’m going to shoot you,” according to two law enforcement officials who are familiar with an internal D.C. police report.

Those people identified the injured man as Myron Berryman, 51. Police said he remained hospitalized on Tuesday in critical but stable condition.

D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said the man is being charged with assault on a police officer.

Thomas Sullivan, the chief of the Uniformed Division of the Secret Service, said the man approached an officer posted near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW and said he had a weapon.

The man ran aggressively toward the officer and withdrew an object from his clothing, Sullivan said. He said the man then crouched in a “shooter’s stance” as if about to fire. The officer shot him, striking him in the torso, Sullivan said.
