I wouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater here. There is a lot of deep thinking about the nature of man, God, consciousness, etc. that is worth preserving. Otherwise, we're stuck with the Sunday School and cartoon illustrated versions of ancient books and the allusive contexts in which they were written.
The observations are pointing at something. The interpretations are worth discussion, but the conclusions into communism are certainly fucked. They jumped about 10 steps ahead without confirming previous assumptions. It's one think to claim a divine spark or even a divine witness behind the eyes of each individual. It's a totally different think to equate the individual instance of each creation, the ego, or the manifestation as that recessed witness in the background of our waking awareness.
