Dropping the hammer, as you say, would cause resistance to sudden change. Slowly letting people realize for themselves what shite MSM is leaves no doubt that there may be any credibility. They dig their own graves with each broadcast and are too arrogant to see it. The arrogance works against them, every time.
Get with others and start hammering on the elected politicians about runaway bureaucrats. Remind them they govern only with consent, and said consent can be removed. You hear "you can't fight City Hall" you respond with "we can withhold tax revenues and chain the doors of City Hall shut, that place belongs to us."
As for the restaurant, find out who owns it, franchisee or such and simply inform them due to the overzealous management you, and others that you have contacted via social media to relay your bad experience, shall henceforth take your business elsewhere.
