I think it is a great political miscalculation for Trump to push the reopening of schools. I am a supporter of his and this is one of very few things I disagree with him on. It could cost him the election if this goes wrong and people see this as his fault.

I have a friend who works in the school system here in Florida and she says there is zero guidance or training for them on how to deal with coronavirus.

I already see on the news how they are reporting increase in cases in kids. I know 99% or so of kids should be okay if they get the coronavirus (or so we’ve been told) but imagine if just half a percent got it pretty bad? The left will say that thousands of children died because of trump reopening the schools etc etc

I think it is not wise for him to posture as being the de facto voice of whether schools should reopen or not. He should be encouraging the schools to formulate plans on how to social distance better and offer more distance learning options.

I have wrote potus an email letter and gave some ideas on how schools can use better social distance strategies.
