Anons. Thanks for telling me what this computer component is and how i can possibly access the data. I bought this enclosure but now have more questions. This is so important and I'm really scared I'll mess up the data.

I'm not a computer person but I would imagine the computer I hook this up to would need to run the same operating system. The trouble is I don't know what that would is. The hard drive in the picture is either from a desktop computer (don't have a way to know operating system) or a laptop computer that most likely ran Windows 7 or 10.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't work the way a flash drive does. Any advice?
