I've thought all along that Hillary was going to be the nominee. It makes sense (not really) that they would wait until the last minute to roll her out– to save her from the humiliation of the meme-masters and Trump.
Plus, they likely are hoping enough people will be relieved that they don't have to vote for Biden.
