I was thinking we have already been funding SS out of the General Fund a couple decades, but maybe I have it backwards and they have been robbing the SS Fund. Or maybe both. It's a royal clusterfuck.

I thought yesterday POTUS was just trying to reassure SS beneficiaries there would not be any interruption of their benefits to counter Dem scare-tactics of "there won't be any funds to pay you because we are not collecting payroll taxes" (even though they want to spend $3 fucking trillion instead).
