In 1985, Rebecca Bell-Metereau, the Democratic candidate for State Board of Education (SBOE) District 5, published a book titled Hollywood Androgyny about films that feature “instances of cross-dressing, transvestism, and every kind of gender-bending.”

Bell-Metereau is a longtime professor, currently at Texas State University, wherein her research interests are “gender roles, film, celebrity studies, transgender, and disability studies.” She will face Republican Lani Popp in the general election.

Target Store Manager Kicks Out Cops Doing School Supply Drive For Kids

New Britain, CT – Police officers working with a community group on an annual school supply drive were kicked out of the Target in New Britain on Saturday by a store manager who said he didn’t support police.

Target’s corporate headquarters posted a statement to Twitter on Aug. 12 that called the incident a “misunderstanding.”

Houston ISD teachers asking for safety before returning to school

Michelle Williams says she looks forward to the day she can resume her passion for teaching students, in-person.

"A lot of people have teachers pegged as we don't want to go back to work. I want to go back to work, it's routine. This is my 21st year in education and to have that stop, it is disruptive to my life," Williams said.

This anon understands all of the reasoning behind why the plan is playing out as it is. That doesnt make it easier. This anon knows there will not be mass arrests; too destabilizing to the populace. That said, anon will never get past feeling this is justice denied, even if [they] are found guilt by tribunal and put before a firing squad. It doesnt seem fair that their persona is allowed to live on and only sullied after their death. Allowing [them] to go out like martyrs makes me wanna puke, but i guess I'll just have to puke and get over it.
