I wonder how much cognitive dissonance (if any, to speak of) I'll experience with coming events. I've seen behavior in personal "friends" that causes me to wonder if a particular event(s) might cause them to drop dead or vanish at some point (or become more void/vacuous than they are already/zombie-like).
If stuff like that's iin play (and much moar) on my field of hypothetical expectations, I'd say I'm pretty well shielded from shock-based trauma.
