It would appear he is being lit by diffuse light sources from both above and below in front of him. I would expect his hairy legs to be more well lit under these conditions. Improvised table resting on flight cases seems a bit odd also.

I still think his legs are too dark if the light on the floor is on. And looking at the ceiling it looks like it is.

The table in front of, and behind him have been elevated. Along with his chair. All to carefully compose the shot with desired background displayed on camera.
Don't see an ankle bracelet though.

I've decided that the light on the floor is not even turned on based on shadows along the front edge of the desk. If it is on, then it is not very bright.
It looks like they put the phone in the cabinet. Maybe to hide what model it is? Maybe it's nothing though. I count one baseball, one basketball, two footballs and one pool table in the shot. Anon thinks it is a bit strange to hang a mirror over a fireplace. Usually you would find a painting. Also, the only time anon has used a rug over a carpeted floor is to hide a stain in the carpet. Otherwise just a tripping hazard. And he is up there in years.
But that photo on the shelf looks awfully Donnie Darko to me.

True of pretty much all Hollywood movies anon. I was not holding it out as historical fact, but rather as an entertaining way for some to gain an understanding. Tell you Navajo friends and family that I said thank you. o7
