Clinesmith talking:

"The FBI's influence"

"It's not hard to feel like the FBI caused some of this"

Sounded to me, quickly reading through Clinesmith's reaction to Trump's winning, that Clinesmith viewed the FBI as helping Trump win.

If that's so, then Clinesmith's group were renegades (resistance). CIA email wanted to inform the FBI that Carter Page was an asset, but the renegades said fuck it. Meaning, Page was the only avenue the renegades had, at that point, to Trump himself. FBI & CIA would have shut it all down. Clinesmith had to scuttle the email.

Looks like there was a supra-bureau clique countermanding official bureau business. I'm guessing Clinton, Obama, Biden, Brennan, Clapper and McCabe were the brain trust. Still undecided about Comey.

So, question is, who was/were the "FBI" that Clinesmith thought got involved in the election?

This has to have been gamed out long ago.

My guess is the answer given has to be in consideration of who asks the question and how it will be reported as being answered.

I don't think too many reporters will ask the question without already having a inflammatory article about it ready to print. That can be determined by how the question is asked.

Only one at a WH presser now who could be trusted to ask the question and report the answer properly is Chanel, IMO.
