Trump didn't duck and dodge. He answered in the affirmative.

You don't even have to do this (add punctuation–though it is fun) to see that:

Question: "(ramble ramble) . . . Qanon is something worth listening to–do you agree with that?" - Journo

"(positive ramble, positive ramble) . . . She had a trememndous vicorty, so absolutely. I did congratulate her." - Potus

I did add the period after 'absolutely'. It is debatable. And potus doesn't emphasize "did" which would be clearer. But pointing out the fact that he congratulated the candidate as a response indicates he supports that element of the candidate.

Sure, POTUS could have been saying "so absolutely I did congratulate her" as in "it is a fact that I congratulated her" but that wasnt in dispute.

In the context of the actual question asked, I think potus did give an affirmative response. Not a side step. He danced with his language, but so what. It wasn't time for an in your face Yes, but he gave a yes.

Alternatively, "Absolutely I did congratulate her" would more literally mean that, on all fronts of her campaign, he congratulated her, he showed pleasure and accordance with her, with the absolute of it. The entirety of it.

Anyway you cut it, he said yes.

I don't disagree that the biggest takeaway was the KC stuff and that the journos didn't touch it.

I'm responding to the general idea I see floating around that Trump "avoided the Q" or answered in the negative. Shills or newbies. So my post was to counter shill arguments.
