We're pawns, grunts and it doesn't actually matter if our lives are destroyed at an individual level throughout all this. The same way it didn't matter if some private had his face blown off by a machine gun on Peleliu 75 years ago. Yes, your "sacrifice will always be remembered" or some such empty platitude. Yes, your name might end up on some wall in Arlington that 5th graders visit and ignore while they play on their phones. But you as a small front-line soldier are little more than a loss leader. Just like whoever's running all this used your forefathers as pawns in their secret society power games, we're now being used the same by the people so many here "trust." It doesn't matter if the cause is "just," we're disposable all the same.
