Back around 2006 or 7, there was some epidemic with the batteries that power the heavy industrial equipment (forklifts, mail tugs, etc)
Lasted for a good while and instead of rectifying the problem outright, they put it all on the employees and had them moving all the containers by hand.
It was the most retarded disaster I've ever seen.
They claimed there wasnt any money if I remember right, but those 50k yearly management bonuses sure didnt skip any beats.
