Too much concern over Syria. I highly doubt that any strike will be aimed at Assad. Why?

He is inconsequential and impotent. His forces are ineffective and scattered. Russia has strategic control, Iran tactical.

What you are seeing is possibly diversion on a grand scale. Everyone is looking at Assad. Every night the "its tonight!" hysteria starts. We will not be attacking assad with massive force–again ineffective. We do not want to piss on Russia. Who is left?

Iran.

We are massing forces not to strike Syria, but rather to eliminate the true adversary in Shia Islam. Impending strikes are not Damascus, but rather Tehran.
