A Blast & The Squeeze – The Beirut Blast – Iran and Hezbollah’s Rope-a-Dope

How did “hundreds of kilograms” of ammonium nitrate suddenly morph into 2,750 tons, then get reduced by 1/2, prior to rendering 1/3 of the city of Beirut uninhabitable? Oh, and who did it? We could ask BND head, Bruno Kahl, to ring up his close friend, MOSSAD boss Yossi Cohen, for a start.

But first, it only takes a moment to back the telescopic lens off of Beirut to understand what we are actually looking at is a case of Iran/Hezbollah ‘rope-a-dope’ in cold geopolitical calculation on a march towards a very hot war. Israel (or ‘Bibi’ and friends, not all Israelis are calculating criminals) are hell bent on dragging the USA into a war with Iran prior to November elections with no promise of a Trump victory; hence the multiple acts of sabotage throughout Iran. The Ayatollahs and Hezbollah are meanwhile, letting Israel punch and punch again, but it is hard to say if Iran and Hezbollah’s intelligence assessments ruled out an Israeli attack erasing the port of Beirut (with 1/3 of the city collateral damage.) Maybe they understood there would be nothing they could do if Israel attacked the port with an outcome of a conventional explosion packing the punch of a tactical nuclear weapon.

Recalling the moron Bush & his ‘coalition of the willing’, the Emirates and Bahrain are being sucked into alliance with Israel (the Saudis are there, if not yet on paper, where Trump/Pence election needs are employing MOSSAD’s asset Kushner to exploit the Shia/Sunni divide) and all this points at what amounts to ‘foreplay’ in the orgiastic warmongers strategy.

In short, the deliberate erasure of the port of Beirut (with the ‘unfortunate’ rendering of nearly half the city uninhabitable) was a preemptive take-down of a Hezbollah supply line, anticipating the Iran aligned front opening on Israel’s northern frontier. This is little more than a preliminary play.

Relevant to this, in the Spring of 2020, with a vigorous effort of MOSSAD (years in the making), Germany outlawed Hezbollah’s political wing. Part of the Israeli endeavor had been to produce convincing evidence Hezbollah had been storing “hundreds of kilograms” of ammonium nitrate at a port warehouse in Beirut. [1]

The many hundred of tons of ammonium nitrate reduced to hundreds of kilos by MOSSAD reporting is simple ‘cover your ass’ disinformation; in case the Israelis took a decision to detonate (eliminate) the explosive (and got caught) it could be claimed this was not knowledge in the hands of the saboteurs or other elements of the Israeli state ostensibly going after a Hezbollah weapons stash. The objective of severely damaging Hezbollah’s logistics by wiping the port of Beirut out of the upcoming war equation had been accomplished.

Cher says she hopes ‘ground opens’ under Trump and ‘we never see his face again’ after Gettysburg speech suggestion

Liberal musician Cher appeared to openly fantasize about violence against President Donald Trump, in a tweet blasting him for suggesting that he might accept the Republican nomination for president in Gettysburg.

In an eye-watering all caps tweet on Saturday, Cher slammed Trump’s recent suggestion that he might accept the Republican Party’s nomination for president in Gettysburg, saying that if he had the “mendacity” to set foot there, she hopes the ground opens “and we never see his ugly face again.”

She then added that the long-dead Harriet Tubman, who led slaves from the South to freedom in the North during the American Civil War, could “kick [Trump’s] a**.”

Trump on Esper: 'I consider firing everybody'

During a press conference at his Bedminster, N.J., property Saturday, President Trump said that he "considers firing everybody" when asked if he considered firing Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.

The comment from the president comes after reports surfaced this week saying that Trump, who has had significant turnover in his administration, is considering letting go of Esper.

“Some people call him Yesper,” Trump said, appearing to nod at reports that officials at the Pentagon call Esper that name because of his loyalty to the president.

“I get along with him,” Trump added. “I think he’s fine.”

The reports come after Esper broke with the president in June when he opposed using active-duty troops against protesters. At the time, Trump repeatedly threatened to send in the military in to quell demonstrations against racial injustice and police violence sparked by the death of George Floyd.

In July, Esper also effectively banned the display of the Confederate battle flag on Pentagon property even as Trump continued to defend its display of the flag as an issue of free speech.

Before Esper was confirmed by the Senate last year, the Defense secretary post was held by acting officials for nearly seven months following former Defense Secretary James Mattis's resignation in protest over Trump’s since-reversed decision to withdraw troops from Syria.

Following the staff question about Esper, a reporter asked if the president foresees more turnover in his cabinet.

“It’s my understanding that if we win, the president will ask for the resignation of everybody and bring back the people he wants,” Trump continued Saturday. “That’s happened before and I can see something like that happening.”

Trump added that he has “a very good cabinet with few exceptions.”

“I wouldn’t say I’m thrilled with everybody, frankly, but overall I think we have a very good cabinet,” Trump said.

Esper is among several administration officials Trump is considering shuffling if he wins the November election according to media reports. It is not uncommon for presidents to switch up their cabinets in a second term, though the Pentagon has seen a particularly high amount of turnover during this current administration's tenure.

IDF Strikes in Gaza, Intercepts Rockets, as Night Border Protests Resume

Israel strikes Gaza in response to continued spate of explosive-laden balloons ■ IDF says intercepted two rockets coming from Gaza ■ Three Palestinians shot during border protests

Israel hit the Gaza Strip with several air strikes on Saturday night, in retaliation for the continued spate of balloons carrying incendiary and explosive devices, and clashes along the border fence, the IDF said.

Alert sirens rang out around the city of Sderot, near the border, around 1 A.M. The Israeli military later said that the warning had been triggered following the launch of rockets from Gaza. A statement confirmed that two had been intercepted by air defense batteries. The municipality of Sderot said that one house had been hit by shrapnel, which the police later confirmed had come from the rocket itself. An Israeli man of 58 was lightly injured by broken glass, a statement by emergency rescue service Magen David Adom said.

The Israeli strikes hit a Hamas military compound and underground infrastructure belonging to the organization, the Israeli army said, carrying the usual statement that it considered the Gaza-based movement to be responsible over all activities in Gaza. The balloon launches, and corresponding Israeli strikes, have become a daily occurence in the last few days.

Meanwhile, at least three Palestinians were injured as hundreds came out to protest against Israel near the border fence of the Gaza Strip on Saturday night. According to Palestinian sources and the Israeli army, protesters approached the fence and threw explosives at soldiers, who fired on them and used other riot-dispersal means.

Netanyahu Slams UNSC Decision Not to Allow Extension of Arms Embargo on Iran as ‘Scandalous’

On Friday, the United Nations Security Council rejected a draft resolution submitted by the United States to indefinitely extend the arms embargo on Iran, originally envisioned by the Iran nuclear deal ahead of its expiration in October, saying the draft did not obtain the necessary support to be adopted.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday described the UN Security Council’s decision to not allow an extension of the arms embargo on Iran as “scandalous”, adding that Tel Aviv will continue to cooperate closely with the United States to repel what he describes as “Iranian aggression”.

“The decision of the UN Security Council not to renew the arms embargo on Iran is scandalous. Iranian terrorism and aggression threaten the peace of the region and the entire world. Instead of opposing weapons sales, the UNSC is encouraging them,” Netanyahu said, quoted by his office. “We will continue to act in close cooperation with the US and countries in the region to block the Iranian aggression. The State of Israel will continue to act with full force against whoever seeks to undermine its security.”

On Friday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed the UNSC rejection of the US resolution, noting that the Trump administration would continue to do everything possible to ensure that Iran is not able to buy and sell weapons on the international marketplace.

“It [UNSC] rejected a reasonable resolution to extend the 13-year old arms embargo on Iran and paved the way for the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism to buy and sell conventional weapons without specific UN restrictions in place for the first time in over a decade,” Pompeo said on Friday.

The UNSC on Friday rejected a draft resolution introduced by Washington to indefinitely extend the weapons embargo on Iran envisioned by the 2015 Iran nuclear deal ahead of its expiration on 18 October.

Dian Triansyah Djani, UNSC president for the month of July, said that the resolution had not received the required support to be adopted, as it was endorsed only by the US and the Dominicans and objected by Russia and China, while 11 countries abstained.

”The result of the voting is as follows: two votes in favor, two votes against, 11 abstentions. The resolution has not been adopted having failed to obtain the required number of votes,” Djani noted.

Commenting on the UNSC rejection of Washington's bid to prolong the arms embargo on the Middle Eastern nation, Tehran's ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN, Majid Takht Ravanchi, said that the results of the vote ”shows—once more—the US' isolation”.

”US must learn from this debacle. Its attempt to 'snapback' sanctions is illegal, and was rejected by int'l community, as was evident today,” Ravanchi said in a statement on Twitter on Saturday.
