I started out with nothing anon, took many years before I started gaining ground. Here's how I did it, I made a list of things I wanted, a realistic list. I prioritized them and chipped away at them one by one. I taped that list next to the coffee maker where I would see it every morning. I stopped going out to party, saved every five bucks I could and just keep my eye on the goals. And I Prayed every day!

Bottom line anon, it took work, hard work and it took a long tome but if you are determined you'll get there. Just put one foot in front of the other, one day at a time, I earned it. I've never been wealthy but I've been comfortable and now I have a big home in the country and am happy with my life, I don't need to be wealthy, money can't buy happiness, it really can't. I've been through a LOT of ups and downs and the downs I looked at as a learning experience and moved on.

You can stand still crying and go no where or you can take a positive attitude and start chipping away at goals, no one is going to walk up to you and hand anything to you or do it for you.

Get off line, stop feeling defeated and sorry for yourself and go make that list, tape it somewhere where you'll see it every morning and start chipping away at those goals!

One last thought, happiness IS a choice, be thankful for what you have and look for the good in life. Go make it happen!

> I have been nearly friendless for a decade.

Same here anon and you know, I'm liking it that way! I'm very happy with my life, I don't need anyone to confirm my self worth and I don't need to check constantly for new Likes, geshโ€ฆ

Happiness is a choice ;-)

Look for the good in life and reject what isn't, pretty simple in my book
