Great theory, but…
Depending on where you are that can get really beyond frustrating moving into human-rights-violation territory.
I've dealt with beyond shit, I'll just start there, and you can take that several different ways and it'll stay true.
Basically, worked for tools for several years, including through a housing market completely crashed, which paid little-to-no-money because some people I was doing work for were literally losing the house on the deal or just like 70% of the value trying to sell it, and then all my tools got stolen thanks to the opiod crisis/pill epidemic that had family, neighbors, "friends", strangers, etc. all stealing whatever they could to score pretty much whatever they can find.
I'm sure it would've worked out completely different under other circumstances, but my back is essentially been broke for the last three years everyday I wake up, and I couldn't even tell ya which one of the 500 potential "causes" might be the "root", nor can I afford to see a doctor for "advice", nor do I really even want to speak with a doctor, after what I've seent out of the field thus far into my life. I know they aren't all bad people, but I reserve my right to not trust them on legitimate, bizarre, and rather disturbing experiences over the years.
I'm sure there are paths to success, somewhere, but I don't think you understand just how utterly fucked some of us really are. It's sad, because often we are incredibly gifted in multiple ways, but you got too many goddam vultures circling around at all mother fucking times trying to leech every last penny they can extort out of you for whatever reason they see fit.
Literally, in the last ten years of my life, I've had people exploit me for roughly $50,000-75,000 worth of hard manual labor. That is not counting what was stolen by pill-poppers, btw. And I'm not just talking about the times a gave someone a good pay rate. I'm talking about agree to one type of job, here's amount. Had a variety of reasons from "IOUs" to "No, I don't owe you" to "I don't owe you, YOU owe me!" to "We're sorry" to "muh purse got stolen" I could do this all day, but it's obviously not making me any richer. Nor did any of my services ever get me laid like the late-night movies made me think they would. Fucking fantasy land, amirite? I guess that is the point after all, isn't it?
