Music has the power to make a single sentence or phrase repeat in your head again and again all day. Then you repeat it to your friends and it spreads virally. It's got hooks. It's catchy. And now evil messages are stuck on repeat in your head.
Music has the power to alter emotions. Why do people listen to music before a fight or a big game or an arduous task? To get them amped. Why sing a lullaby? To calm someone. Why do horror movies or boss fights have music? To make you feel frightened and tense. Why are war drums a thing? They inspire.
They wouldn't care about controlling the music industry if it was just entertainment.
