Somewhat musing here, but to put things in perspective.. It may seem like this crap is dragging to unbearable levels, but consider that major paradigm shifts in history lasted much longer. The Reformation sparked around 200 years of wars and civil wars. Hell, just the "right" to rule England and France separately sparked the "Hundred Years War". We're in a similar category. Most of the big players in this have been brewing since the mid-19th century.
