Republican congressman goes to CNN to urge Trump to denounce QAnon after pro-conspiracy candidate sweeps Georgia primary

GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger has called on President Donald Trump to debunk the QAnon conspiracy, saying that it has gone “mainstream” after a theory-backing Republican candidate all but secured a seat in congress after a primary win.

Kinzinger, who has locked horns with Trump in the past, came out swinging against the conspiracy theory during an episode of CNN’s Reliable Sources with Brian Stelter on Sunday.

Before his appearance on Trump’s least-favoured channel (well, maybe after Fox News), Kinzinger posted a YouTube video, talking about why people fall for conspiracy theories like the fake Moon landing theory and QAnon, which originally sprang up at the 4-chan website in October 2017.

A beach property development on Oahu, Hawaii's 3rd-largest island, where former President Barack Obama and his family vacations, used a planning loophole to keep a seawall that is potentially causing environmental damage to the local area, ProPublica reported on Saturday.

State officials and community leaders said that Obama - who plans to reside in the $8.7 million compound on Oahu's Waimanalo Beach in the future - saw this property purchased by close friend and chairman of the Obama Foundation board, Marty Nesbitt, in 2015.

In fact, the Left was upset that USPS would stop picking up mail from letter collection boxes in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Alaska, Nebraska and small parts of Wisconsin and Missouri. According to a spokesperson for the western region of USPS, this won't be done until after the election.

4 shootings in Cincinnati, Ohio leave 18 shot, 4 dead in matter of hours

Cincinnati police have confirmed at least 18 people were shot in several unrelated incidents over the course of just a few hours this weekend. There were reportedly at least four separate shootings across the city early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the first of these shootings happened around 12 a.m. local time at Grant Park. 10 people were shot and two were killed during the incident.

Meanwhile, a triple shooting occurred in Walnut Hills. Approximately 30 minutes later, police received reports of four people who were shot in Avondale. This shooting left one dead.

The violence continued until a few hours later, when one person was reportedly shot and pronounced dead on scene in the West End.

Iran issues official response to ‘largest US seizure of Iranian fuel’

BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said onSaturday, that “the ships that the United States seized and claimed to be Iranian were not Iranian and did not carry Iran’s flag.”

Rouhani said, during the meeting of the National Committee to Combat Coronavirus, “This lie was to cover up the shame inflicted on the United States in the Security Council after rejecting its draft resolution to extend the embargo on Iran,” the Mehr News Agency reported.

The Wall Street Journal quoted American officials as saying that “the U.S. government has seized for the first time ships that it said were transporting Iranian fuel in violation of the sanctions imposed by President Donald Trump’s administration.”

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice said that the United States had seized four Iranian fuel shipments en route to Venezuela and confiscated them, describing it as the largest U.S. seizure of Iranian fuel ever.

However, an unnamed Iranian government official told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that no Iranian tanker or cargo has been seized.

Stock futures rise as S&P 500 tries to build on last week’s gains and reach all-time high

U.S. stock futures rose on Sunday night after Wall Street logged in its third consecutive weekly gain, but fell short of breaking the all-time high set on Feb. 19.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up by 72 points, or 0.3%. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures each traded higher by 0.2%.

The S&P 500 climbed 0.6% last week and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.1%. The Dow gained 1.8% last week.

Despite those gains, the S&P 500 failed to notch a fresh record high after flirting with the milestone for most of last week. Through Friday’s close, the S&P 500 was just 0.6% below 3,393.52, the intraday record set in February.

CNN’s latest poll shows the 2020 election at its closest point in over a year.

The poll, released Sunday night, gave former Vice President Joe Biden (50) a four-point lead over President Donald Trump (46) if the election were to be held today. Additionally, Trump has apparently closed the gap in consequential swing states, where he trails Biden by just one point.
