A sceptical person (like me) would not be cheering the strikes against Syria, but would note that Syria (and Russia) were effectively warned in advance of these strikes. Since there are a large number of Hezbollah, Palestinian and Iranian forces inside Syria, it is entirely possible that they are beginning to produce chemical weapons without the knowledge of the government of Syria or Russia.

And setting aside Syria details for a moment, Trump's action has gotten his domestic opponents DEMANDING that the CONSTITUTION must be followed. This sure looks like 17D CHESS to me.

Back to Syria. POTUS very clearly identified his target when he said to Russia You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!. His description fits the regime of Saddam Hussein. But that is gone except for a few holdovers who were involved in creating ISIS, and maybe some of them are still alive. But is also fits the current Iranian regime. And that is precisely what I think has happened. The Iranian regime, its Revolutionary Guards, and Hezbollah have leveraged the chaos in Syria to manufacture things away from the prying eyes of US satellites and US spies in Iran proper.

Sorry, but they've been caught, and now they've been dealt with.
