W physics, a 20 story section only (in theory) has enough kenetic energy to destroy 20 stories. 20 cannot take out 40.. etc.
Another problem w pancake theory on any building of this magnitude is that each floor down, or at certain intervals the building material gets moar robust. 1st floor of a building 110 stories tall must hold weight of 109stories.. has to be constructed moar robust. The columns/framing of floor 80 would never hold the weight of floor 1, but doesnt need to. Just needa to hold the 29 above it. As you go down, the structure itsself gets bigger so its harder to crush.
