VOTING ON A BLOCKCHAIN?

With the U.S. Postal Service at the forefront of the news as the prospect of mail-in voting has become a political flashpoint, the U.S. Patent and Trademark office revealed that the USPS filed a patent in February for a system “that can use the security of blockchain and the mail to provide a reliable voting system.” The system would give voters a code in the mail to store their ballot information while ensuring anonymity.

I see it as a transparent ledger that everyone can see for counting the vote in real time. With our code + (verified Voter ID) + passphrase to verify my vote was logged accurately in the ledger. I can also see my fellow AnonVoters out there and how they voted. (Real-time count.) We will still vote in person and via mail (absentee style by request.) All voters need to get a voter ID. They their code. This will validate the size of the blockchain defining a finite number over verified registered voters.

I know we have challenges with technology at all layers but if POTUS was directing people to resolve this challenge months before the February filing….they got to have a solid solution.
