so if wearing a mask is like wearing pants, ask her if everyone should wear a mask at all times for the rest of their lives

if not, under what circumstances should masks be worn? What risk level? For a seasonal flu that kills almost as many every year?

IMO

the mask people aren't thinking this through. It makes them feel like they are doing something - which is mostly unnecessary and largely ineffective. but herd behavior feels safer and there is the side bonus of giving a smug virtue signal

IMO they think that a tiny chance that it might stop someone, somewhere from getting sick justifies making everyone wear one

for a virus that most people recover from

when are they going to stop pretending this is the new plague?

I've come to the conclusion people hate to think for themselves

and even more than that, they hate to be different

so they look around, someone big tells them what to do, and most other people believe it, voila! No further thought necessary

saw another one running in a mask yesterday. yes, outside, fresh air, no one within 100 feet (except maskless me) Is that person afraid that blowing by someone at run speed is going to transmit the virus? No. they aren't thinking at all
