This is fucked up. YES, it's the top floor of an elevator. NO, those aren't the elevator doors. NO, there isn't a machine room inside the dome. The depicted room would not fit under that dome.

Look at the height of the building … the machine room was beneath the flat roof and the top of the elevator. The "temple" is the top floor of the elevator AND the machine room. The dome was needed to allow air circulation to the AC chillers.

When the dome blew off, the roof was flat except for some structural steel from the elevator. All there was under the dome were some I-beams and A/C chiller units.

The front face is to your left. The right side is FLAT … that is "fool the eye" painting. The rear appears to be a real door. While we located the "two at a time" crematorium, it would be useful to learn which side of the island the sharks congregate in.
