"Thomas Chan" was a controlled "clean-up" of the Velikovsky affair, in a desperate attempt to wash his theories out from the discussion, not long before the courts decided to retard all of humanity by ruling in favor of teaching darwinian evolution, an ever-unproven "theory" which directly infringes upon the vast majority of the populations' religious beliefs.
To put it bluntly, they've been forcing kids to learn lies, which have no basis in reality, while holding back and/or drugging children who have a difficult time grasping the highly illogical non-sense being forced upon their developing minds

I've been trolling this board for the last 3 years, just to make sure you don't look into the Chan book, by pointing you in the direction of the man who proposed the catastrophe theory, rather revived the catastrophist movement, and also happened to make numerous predictions, which are still being proven some 70 years later, even though Velikovsky's name continues to get slandered as "baseless conspiracy theories".
But lucky for me, I got lots of copy pasta locked and loaded to prove random obscure points about "do your own goddam research then get back to me"

The clowns classified it to give it more "credibility". The man potentially responsible for said book, at least if one goes by the credentials given about the author, was Frank Press. Pic related (Sorry you just get a wiki-link. not digging through scattered notes). Name was changed, along with a years altered. But creds are nearly identical. If he was not the author, he likely had a hand in it. However, because he was working high up in several different administrations, perhaps his book was "classified" so that no one connected the dots to find out that even the higher ups in the various administrations did not fully believe "the official narrative" of darwinism.
Keep in mind, the book itself is not an accurate description, but rather a fantastical speculation about what may have happened. There is tons of evidence to support the views of catastrophists from a scientific perspective, which does lend credibility to the ideas presented in the Adam and Eve Book. But keep in mind that Velikovsky presented his theories based on events described not only in the Bible, but numerous other religious texts and "myths" from around the globe. And ho did so over a decade prior to the Chan book. Velikovsky's book, Worlds in Collision, was a best-seller, before the publisher was pressured to back out. However, a second publisher did pick up his work, and he already created quite a commotion to where the clowns couldn't really just "classify" all his work to make it go away. He was in very heated debates with an ignorant Carl Sagan. Velikovsky was also in communication with Einstein, trying to plea with Albert to recognize the superior Electromagnetic Force's role in outer space.
Also, Velikovsky covered way more ground, including additional books, and presented many of his theories in a most scientific way. The Adam and Eve story kind of reads like fiction. Velikovsky's work is like watching the best autist on planet Earth attempt biblical decodes, then try to run around the world explaining to everyone shit they ave no fucking clue about, while trying to not sound crazy, only to get painted as crazy, despite being proven right again and again and again, long after his death.
