Marianne, Marianne, Marianne, Marianne

Whoa-ho-ho here I am on my knees again

I'll do anything just to make it right

Say you'll understand, oh I know you can

C'mon Marianne

No matter what people say, it didn't happen that way

She was a passing fling and not a permanent thing

Say you'll understand, oh I know you can

C'mon Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

Say you can understand

My Marianne, Marianne, Marianne, Marianne

Well now your big brown eyes are all full of tears

From the bitterness of my cheatin' years

So I hang my head, wish that I was dead

C'mon Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

Say you can understand

My Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

C'mon Marianne (baby)

#TraffickingTruths: Realities of Child Sex Trafficking!

We are especially optimistic about the sudden mass interest in the issue of child sex trafficking! It has been trending online now for a couple of weeks.

Right now, we are experiencing a cultural moment centered on combatting the devastating and very real issue of child sex trafficking. However, despite the well-meaning intent behind much of this national discussion, many of the theories and social media posts being passed around are riddled with misconceptions that actively harm the anti-trafficking movement.

We cannot simply ignore ill-informed takes on sex trafficking because the subconscious acceptance of the narratives they create make it more difficult to address real problems and implement effective change and reform.

Get the FACTS behind SIX misconceptions so we can really #SaveTheChildren.

MISCONCEPTION: Sensational, popular action films like Taken or viral conspiracies like Wayfair are accurate depictions of how sex trafficking occurs.

REALITY: Most sex traffickers prefer to develop relationships with their targets—sometimes virtually and sometimes in-person—in order to methodically groom and traffic them. Child sex trafficking often involves a person who knew the child or even a family member of the child.

MISCONCEPTION: Child trafficking victims are usually white children with blonde hair and kept in dirty basements with chains.

REALITY: In active federal cases of sex trafficking in 2019, only 5.3% of cases involved cages, locked rooms, or barred cells. Most victims are groomed and held captive through psychological abuse, manipulation, and coercion that can be difficult to identify. Sex trafficking can happen without the child being kidnapped at all!

MISCONCEPTION: “This could never happen to my child” or, “that would never happen in this neighborhood”.

REALITY: While it’s true that most victims of child sex trafficking are children of color or come from backgrounds of poverty or abuse, it is also absolutely true that trafficking can happen in any community, to children from stable home environments.

MISCONCEPTION: Pornography and prostitution have nothing to do with sex trafficking.

REALITY: Sex trafficking only exists because of the demand for paid sex.

MISCONCEPTION: Once a child is rescued, the work is done.

REALITY: You cannot solve trafficking by swooping in and stealing the victim back from the traffickers. While rescue is critical, it is PREVENTION that will stop this problem. Moreover, recovery and healing is a process that often lasts a lifetime.

MISCONCEPTION: Sex trafficking will never go away completely.

REALITY: This issue can feel overwhelming, but we should never give up hope!

No matter how involved you are able to be in this moment, hold on to hope! Victories are being won in these dark spaces and momentum is growing to see them eradicated entirely.

Let’s stay the course and work together to build a world free from sexual exploitation!

When most of us think about our local library, we picture a safe place for students to research, senior citizens to read, and children to listen to stories read by one of the librarians.

It is a pleasant picture. But sadly, it is not an accurate one as sexually explicit material has seeped into libraries across the nation, exposing library patrons, and most alarmingly innocent children, to images of hardcore pornography – images that will potentially damage the intellectual development of these young minds while normalizing sexual violence and lack of consent.

For years, local libraries, cheered on by the American Library Association (ALA), have fostered unhealthy and unsafe environments for children through either inadequate, or in many cases, non-existent filters to block pornographic material on library computers from their sight.

That is why NCOSE has been involved in a prolonged battle with the ALA to make sure our children are protected from pornography and its harms, leading the charge for safe libraries with adequate Internet filters to safeguard children’s hearts and minds. The ALA’s refusal to protect children from viewing or accessing hardcore pornography is why NCOSE put the ALA on our “Dirty Dozen” list from 2013-17.

For wanting to make local libraries safe for children and others from being exposed to hardcore pornography, NCOSE is being attacked by the ALA. The ALA’s journal, The Journal of Intellectual Freedom and Privacy has put out a so-called “peer reviewed” article written by a graduate archivist at the notorious Kinsey Institute filled with disinformation about NCOSE, our history, and our efforts to educate the public on the harms of pornography and rid the world of all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation.

While we will not go into all the disinformation in the article, having been engaged in these battles for years, there is one thing we know to be true: the more effective you are, the more likely you will be attacked in an increasingly vicious manner, especially when your opponent cannot persuade people with honest and valid arguments.

The ALA and the pornography industry know NCOSE’s track record: convincing 16 states to declare pornography to be a public health hazard; getting Google Images to make changes to its platform so children are not as easily exposed to hardcore pornography while make innocent searches; and working with Instagram to address problems such as adults grooming children via direct messages, sexualized comments on children’s photos, and likely pedophile networking and file sharing.

So, that is why they are on the attack. They know NCOSE is winning the battle against sexual abuse and exploitation. While no one likes being attacked, it is also a badge of honor because you know you are being effective.

Our effectiveness is a testament to what your support has made possible. We cannot engage in the battle without you standing by our side, supplying the needed resources to help us protect innocent children from the harms of pornography, even at a seemingly “safe” place like your local library. Thank you for your continued partnership as together we look to create a world free of sexual abuse and exploitation.

Best,

Dawn Hawkins

The algorithm figured out who I am.

"Make no mistake, the Silent Majority will reign.

The Election is less than 3 MONTHS AWAY, and in order to keep our strong lead over the Do Nothing Democrats, we need to stay on track.

I’ve asked my team to pull the records of my BEST donors - our most dedicated Patriots who I can always count on when I need them the most - and you’ll never believe it, but your donor record showed up in the top 1%."

Trump, as well as the rest of the 99%, are under MK ULTRA

It's hard to explain, but if what I think actually manifests into reality, we will really need to have hospitals ready for people.

Mental health is going to be hide in the very near future.

Thank you for everything, Marianne Williamson!
