Yet they still talk down to everyone and don't suspect at all that the "news" that told them Hilary had a 96-98% chance to win is lying to them.
Years of being lied to and never questioning anything, combined with being told they are racist or a nazi if they think/say anything different?

I think part of it is that emotion is the enemy of reason, and they are being kept emotional so they continue to act unreasonably and not think.
