FM modulation has an envelope it it is the deviation added times two to the modulating frequency….
That implies to me is a third 90 degree angle that ..
there is an envelope 90 degrees from those angles.

odd thought is why not have mechanical or electrical modification of an antenna be it dipole like the induction in potables./ that would be ideal for DX. - double vertical dipole with inductance variable ?
